Core Values

Love God

We believe that God is the Creator of everything and that He exists eternally in three Persons.
Deuteronomy 6:4Isaiah 64:8Matthew 3:16-1728:19John 16:7-15Hebrews 1:2-3

We believe that sin has kept us from knowing God and worshipping Him but that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin.
John 3:16Acts 2:22-39Romans 3:21-24

We believe the Bible to be God’s Word, a true and fully accurate account of God’s love for us. Its purpose is to teach us how to have a relationship with Him, worship Him, and bring Him glory.
Psalm 19:7-102 Timothy 3:15-172 Peter 1:19-21

We believe that salvation is God’s gift to us. It is available to anyone who confesses the Lord Jesus with their mouth and believes that God has raised Him from death to life.
John 5:24 • Romans 10:9-10Ephesians 2:8-9

Love Each Other

We believe that Jesus established His body on earth in the church and that the church is a community that exists for the purpose of declaring the gospel and glory of Jesus throughout the world.
1 Corinthians 12:12-31 • Colossians 1:18-20 • 1 Peter 2:9

We believe the church is a family and that every believer should be identified with a local body of believers for the purpose of mutual encouragement, spiritual growth, and accountability.
Ephesians 4:11-16 • Colossians 3:12-25 • Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe Water Baptism is a declaration to others that a person has believed on Jesus Christ for salvation. Baptism by immersion in water represents the person being crucified, buried, and resurrected with Jesus, and a testimony of the cleansing power of God and our faith into new life with Him.

We believe the baptism of Holy Spirit is available to all believers. It is separate from salvation. Holy Spirit brings power to the believer to be effective witnesses for Jesus, as well as He blesses us with spiritual gifts for the encouragement of others, and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit.

We believe Communion is intended for Jesus’ followers, by which they acknowledge and remember His work on the cross and our remembrance of Him.

Dream City Church extends an “open” Communion table, meaning the invitation to receive Communion during a service is open to any follower of Christ, regardless of church membership. People who have accepted His forgiveness and surrendered their lives to Him are invited to share the Communion table at Dream City Church.

Love The World

We believe that God cares about every need of every person and that the church, as Christ’s body, is to show his love and care for every person. Every member of the church is called to be a minister of the gospel through acts of loving service and a willingness to share the truth of the gospel with everyone.

Dream City Church progressively lives out its mission to reveal Christ to the world by loving people, cultivating community, and inspiring hope. Some of the ways we demonstrate God’s love is through outreach. We help to rescue people through the Dream Center and Streetlight USA; we help to clothe people through Thrift to Thrive; and we help to feed people through Mom’s Pantry.
John 13:34-35 • 1 Peter 3:15 • 1 Peter 4:8

We believe that God wants to transform, heal, and provide for us, so that we can live blessed and victorious lives that will impact and help others.

We believe our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised.
Isaiah 49:6 • Matthew 28:18-20 • Romans 10:13-15 • 1 Timothy 2:3-4

We Celebrate

Baby Dedication

Baby Dedication is a ceremony in which Christian parents (and sometimes entire families) stand before the church and make a commitment to raise their child(ren) according to the Word of God. Christian parents who dedicate a child(ren) are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child(ren) in a godly way until he/she/they can make a decision for themselves (1 Samuel 1:11Luke 2:22).

God established monogamous marriage between a male and female as the foundation of the family, and as an example of the spiritual marriage with Jesus as the groom, and His church as His bride. (Genesis 2:241 Corinthians 6:9-111 Timothy 1:9-11).
